What I Think I Know by Damien Del Russo
Happy New Year! Mine has started off well.
Over the weekend we took a trip to Easton, Maryland. Here are some photos. Nice little town, though we did spot a drug dealer!
New Year's Eve was a little disappointing. We started with a nice bottle of wine, and I thought I would be clever and let Yin have "the" extra glass (a bottle has 5 glasses by my pour). That little extra was enough to send her to sleep with Artemis, though, so I kicked off the New Year doing...nothing. Then I played a little poker online and dropped $160 so it was just like going out to an expensive dinner, without the company or the food.
Sunday the Redskins played their way into the playoffs for the first time this century, which pretty much guaranteed a good week for me. Playoffs! Woot!
I'm 3 for 3 on my workouts so far. I haven't been to Bally's, but between my carefully designed home workout and my gym at work, I've gotten in some very good beginning sessions. I also had some photos taken, and noted my measurements (chest, waist, biceps, forearms, calves, and thighs). Arnie recommends keeping a log of such things to better track your progress. I listen to Arnie!
Watched Alexander last night - bleah. I don't think Angelina has to worry about Best Supporting Actress, and Colin should be safe from Oscar considerations as well. Pretty much a steaming pile of a movie.
Feeling good!
The market kicked the year off right! Unfortunately I got stopped out of Google at 415 last week - Tuesday it popped to 435. Ouch! But! I had reinvested in Apple, which was up almost 4% itself, so I didn't miss out completely. Right now, I have about 75% of my stock portfolio in Apple, with the balance divided between Yahoo and Starbucks.
