Last friday night I played my first "big" live poker tournament, $150 buy in. It was wholly uneventful, and I busted out early. The good news, on Sunday I squeezed out a great performance and earned a ticket to a $1,000 buy in event this weekend, called the Grand Tournament III. I am excited!

One thing that sucked about playing for my ticket was that I missed a great time with Artemis. Check it out as she enjoys Watkins Park.

Sunday night we went to see March of the Emperor, the National Geographic film about penguins. That was amazing! Artemis' first movie. I have to say, watching movies at home is 10 times better than going to the movie. Not only do we own the dvd, but Artemis is much more under control, the sound is probably better, the picture is almost definitely better, and we can get our own, healthy snacks. But we tried, and it was fun playing with Artemis in the lobby while Yin finished out the movie.
