Link day!

A couple alert readers sent in submissions this week. The first is for GoogleFight, which allows one to engage in warfare via search engine. Google on!

We also have a pathetic new business, Hollywood Is Calling, that allows one to purchase a personal phone call from a K-list celebrity. Enjoy.

Arianna Huffington should be ashamed, getting caught like that. It is a major faux pas to get caught! These newbie wanna-be politicians need to understand how important it is that they not get caught doing things that might jeopardize their candidacy.

Here's an interesting article describing how information systems are being applied in schools.

Steve Jobs, CEO of Apple and Pixar, pulls down 9 figures. That's a lot of scrilla. To put that in perspective, one hour of his time costs more than an entire year (2000 hours) of a worker who makes $100k per year. He probably has incentives.

Y'all heard about the MS Blaster Worm this week. It's sad, people accept this sort of thing from their computers and operating system. As you probably know, I use Mac OSX at home. The Washington Post sums up one of the reasons: "Computers running on non-Microsoft operating systems, such as Mac OS or Linux, are not affected by the Blaster worm."

I often link to Gizmodo - here's a look at the man behind the site.

The New York Times has a great article about betting, corruption and retribution in Thailand. I mean, this guy hired the army to bulldoze legitimate businesses while the police looked on. And they arrested him! Wow. Read the whole thing, there are lots of entertaining details.

The NYT also has a good article covering the Oil Sands of Venezuela and Canada. I read about these a couple years ago, and haven't heard about them since. I think we have enough oil to last until we start using something else for fuel. Maybe sand?

Have a great weekend!
